code | typesettingIn the ebooks we buy, which are mainly made up of continuous text, we are given page after page of unnecessary information, such as the author’s name, and paragraphs are badly set. Can pages of ebooks fulfil our need for a more pleasant and neutral typography? Of course, but pages must be more sober and a strict control over the basic paragraph is needed.

typesetting | software | languageImproving Pages 09 (from Apple’s iWork suite) is equivalent to making writing and editing friendlier. Our texts reach the screen through pieces of software, and we want this software to help us with our writing. Pages certainly does, but there is still a margin to step it up.

You write but you don’t want to send your texts to the cloud through a content management system, because it would force you to use PHP commands. But code is everywhere, and no one can avoid reading and writing some piece of it. So then, what can you do to do what you want without getting fed up with the code?
